Ha ha, fancy that – we get 15cm of snow in Brussels, one commune clears it quite efficiently, another just doesn’t bother, including main roads.

As it was so cold the snow lay in place for over a week. After this time I had to go out on the motorway and was amazed to see they hadn’t cleared even there correctly.

And they wonder why the accident rate is so high…

Hi this is such a great blog. I was searching for Quebec traditions (i have never been there but i would love to spend some time in quebec, and who knows, live in quebec some day).

As i’m completly addicted to that country and town, i just want to know more and more about it. It seems to be a wonderful place to live (altought there’s so cold)! i’ll keep reading the blog! thank u for sharing

The first time I saw the police dressed like this, not knowing the back ground, I found that really bizarre!

It’s quite a good visible way to demonstrate their feelings though without incommoding others.
